"I named the company IMI Publishing Company after my daughter, a blessing from God in the flesh. The IMI stands for ‘Iyliyah’s My Inspiration’. Everything I do is inspired by her. I wanted to be her role model, so I was a busy catipillar. Not saying that I have "arrived", but I am changing, developing daily into what God truly wants me to be, and that's successful! "

Although her books are fiction, ALL characters fictious, she realizes that somewhere in this world, it could have possibly happened to someone directly or indirectly. Summer 2010, F.R. returns with her sophomore title, "Deceitful Hope" which for those who read her debut novel will be the soother to the painful wait for the ending of the story of First Lady Camille Brown-Owens.
"During the time between books, I feel like I've grown a little more as a writer. I've toiled back and forth and finally broke out of the cocoon. I'm sharing more of my writing, which is indirectly sharing more of me. It's all apart of the coocoon experience. I really feel like a butterfly. Like, I just want to flutter amongst the readers! I am thankful for it. God continues to bless me with creativity. I'm so excited about this book! This one? I think it's even better than the first one! The readers will really be torn between love and hate for Camille this time around!"
Will this character be a staple for future books to come?
"I'm not sure what I'm going to do about Ms Camille. She's a handful, but that's only because you haven't met the other characters I've been dreaming up in my head. Wait until you meet the Pastor in my forth coming novel "Laying Hands". That one is going to really stir the pot! I think Camille is just the tip of the iceberg! "
As F.R refers to her now notorious character Camille Brown-Owens, she also lets us in on her own personal character which is less colorful when it comes to drama.
"Yes. I'm called the Dancin' Writer. That's me. That's my brand. God has given me the ability, the gift, the ministy of praise dance, and I write. I didnt have to choose between the two. They are choreographed well into my life and developed an entity known as the Dancin'Writer."
